Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee · Meeting of May 5, 2026
NH MEREDITH — Waukewan committee pursues septic standards and boat ramp remediation. The Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee met with Code Enforcement Officer Jonathan Trull to evaluate septic system maintenance requirements designed to protect Lake Waukewan water quality, including discussion of New London's three-year pumping and visual inspection standard. The Committee has retained engineering firm FBE for grant applications and will conduct a civil engineering assessment at the boat ramp to identify pollution mitigation solutions, with results informing future remediation grant applications.
An educational outreach event is scheduled for June 17 at the Community Center with the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance, emphasizing the Lake Host Program to prevent invasive species introduction.
