NH MEREDITH — Meredith Select Board advances water treatment plant upgrade project. The board unanimously authorized Town Manager Judie Milner to execute documents for a $900,000 drinking water state revolving fund loan with estimated 30 percent principal forgiveness to replace aging filters at the water treatment plant. Director Robert Carpenter noted the four filters are at end of useful life with early breakthroughs already detected in water quality.
The state revolving fund provides low-interest financing typically between 1 and 3 percent. The board also voted unanimously to accept $10,300 in highway safety grant funding from New Hampshire Department of Safety.
