NH MEREDITH — Meredith's Waukewan committee completes shoreline survey for watershed plan. Committee Vice-Chair Frank Murphy participated in a two-day Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance assessment of all tax lots in Meredith, New Hampton, and Center Harbor, evaluating shorefront buffers, erosion, and vegetation for the 2026 Watershed Revision Plan. Chair Donna Murphy reported the plan reaches presentation stage after final planning with Forrest Bell Environmental consultant Evan Ma.

The committee faces testing constraints: state laboratory personnel shortages prompted NHDES and DHHS to restrict phosphorus and nitrogen test submissions, limiting the committee's Volunteer Lake Assessment Program testing profile and eliminating an additional test panel recommended in a 2024 cyanobacteria grant.
