Short-Term Rental Committee recommends licensing streamlining

Short-Term Rental Committee · Meeting of June 26, 2026

NH MEREDITH — Short-Term Rental Committee advances three regulatory changes to streamline STR licensing and permitting. Staff proposed eliminating plot plan and tax ID verification requirements and reducing license fees for owner-in-residence rentals. The program has issued 33 licenses since January, granted 25 ZBA special exceptions, and identified 117 properties without current licenses.

The changes are scheduled for Selectboard review on July 13, 2026.
