Meredith Select Board accepts $30,000 water quality planning grant

NH MEREDITH — Meredith Select Board accepts $30,000 water quality planning grant from state. The board unanimously approved the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services strategic planning grant and authorized Town Manager Judie Milner to sign required paperwork for the $45,000 project, which includes the town's $15,000 in-kind match. The study will examine removal of organic carbon from the town's raw water and recycling of wastewater from the backwash process.
The board also unanimously adopted the town's updated Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals Summary dated September 9, 2025, with corrections to Strategic Objectives 2 and 3. Superintendent Jason Bordeau presented a proposed $900,000 water filtration system upgrade with potential state funding covering 30 to 50 percent of costs.
