NH MEREDITH — Meredith Select Board backs WRBP transition to regional wastewater authority. The board unanimously voted to support moving the Winnipesaukee River Basin Program from state management to a regional authority, with Wes Anderson, WRBP chair, citing 2015 data projecting potential annual cost savings of 5 to 15 percent; Laconia, Gilford, and Belmont have committed to participate. In other votes, the board unanimously authorized $96,343 from Parks and Recreation funds for Prescott Park Playground and approved Short-Term Rental regulation amendments reducing fees to $200 for owner-occupied properties.
