NH MEREDITH — Meredith Conservation Commission approves forestry recommendations, reviews property surveys. The Commission accepted Dan Stepanauskas' recommendations to plant white oak, chestnut oak, and black birch seeds in Hamline with potential selective opening cuts for habitat improvement. The board reviewed a preliminary Page Pond 3 Survey where property owner Mike Freeman's boundary line ends in his driveway, showing 1.55 acres instead of the 2.35 acres on his tax card; Freeman proposed relocating the boundary to recover the lost acreage.
For Blake Brook Prime Wetland subdivision, consultant Rick Van de Poll will verify boundaries at a cost of $1,500. Trail maintenance is complete with winter damage addressed on all trails, and interpretive signs were installed at Stoney Brook and Waukewan Highlands.
