Conservation Commission approves forestry plan, reviews properties

NH MEREDITH — The Meredith Conservation Commission advanced multiple habitat and property projects at its May 7 meeting. The commission approved April minutes with one abstention and accepted forestry recommendations from Dan Stepanaukas for planting white oak, chestnut oak, and black birch seeds in the Hamline forest. Members reviewed a boundary survey for Page Pond 3 and discussed a proposed 12-lot subdivision in Blake Brook's Prime Wetland, determining that additional site visits are needed to verify wetland boundaries.
The commission scheduled a public meeting on new conservation easements for July 16 and decided to explore alternative options for invasive species work at Page Pond.
