Conservation Commission votes against Page Three parking lot

NH MEREDITH — Conservation Commission votes unanimously against pursuing a parking area on Page Three. The commission rejected the plan due to inadequate sight lines for a state-required curb cut and potential negative impact on wetlands serving Page Brook and Lake Winnipesaukee. Approved bills totaled $3,154.48, including $3,000 to contractor John Max for mowing Page Field, $54.48 for supplies, and $100 in gift cards to bird walk presenters Dan Malarkey and Kelly Hanson.
The commission directed staff to explore options for a $150,000 habitat restoration project on Hatch Brook; commission member Ralph Pisapia and others will partner with a consultant if funds remain available.
