Select Board Approves Plains Avenue, Reviews Budget

Select Board · Meeting of March 9, 2026

NH MEREDITH — Meredith Select Board approves Plains Avenue street name, reviews budget for March meeting. The private street name, serving a planned 12-lot subdivision, passed 4-1 with one abstention. During the budget review for the March 11 Town Meeting, board members discussed warrant article 17, a $960,000 infrastructure fund proposal that drew questions about its vetting process from resident Brian Harris, Vice Chair of the Capital Improvements Program Committee.

Board members said the funds are not earmarked for a specific project and anticipated floor motions at Town Meeting to redirect them.
